CHIEF IBRAHIM NURUDEEN ON CHEF FAILA COOKA-THON ATTEMPT
I'm pleased to express my esteem excitement and fulfilment in the ongoing historic Cook-A-Thon in Tamale by a determine and resilient Ghanaian woman, Failatu Abdul-Razak, a proud daughter of Northern region.
Her bold decision to break the Guinness World Record(GWR) in Tamale has brought the globe attention to the North and Ghana at large, I believe, this would change the negative framing the people of the North has been tagged with, it will equally attract opportunities to the populist.
The marathon attempt started as a dream and now yielding result to all Ghanaians, per records available to me, Mrs. Faila is the first Ghanaian woman to take-up the cooking challenge. Am confident that Chef Faila and her team will break the world record with 10 days if possible beyond that. The yet to be set record by her will be very elusive for someone in the world to break because she's mentally, physical and spiritually fit. As the support we're offering her is massive.
As a youth activist and an advocate for women empowerment, this marathon will greatly make impact to the younger generation in Ghana and awaken women to have confidence in themselves.
I urge Ghanaians to continue cheering Chef Faila to complete the final phase of the challenge, am proud of her and those who have made donations of different kind for the success of the challenge.
My support including financial, physical and spiritual will continue to be with her till the last minute of the CookAThon.
I want to take this opportunity to assure National Service Personnel in Tamale Metro that similar impactful initiatives and programmes would be organized during our tenure of service if elected as the NASPA President for the Metropolitan.
