The Chief Executive officer of the Northern Development Authority, Mr. Sumaila Abdul-Rahaman and his sacked deputy CEO's have been arranged to appear before the Tamale High Court on 31 January, 2023 for their involvement in fraudulent dealings. In a letter signed by the Special Prosecutor, Mr. Kissi Agyebeng copied to thenorthernweb said the suspects influence procurement process at the authority to their own benefit.
He said the CEO, Sumaila Abdul-Rahaman and his two deputies Mr. Andrew Kuundaari and Patrick Seidu have been charged with further count each of directly or indirectly influencing procurement process to obtain an unfair advantage in the award of procurement contract. The Chief Executive of A&QS Consortium Limited, Mr Andrew Kuundaari, will also face criminal prosecution for his role. They are also charged for breaching the Public Procurement Authority (PPA). The Special Prosecutor in June last year commenced investigations into suspected corruption and corruption-related offences at the NDA over a contract awarded to A&Q’s Consortium.
