The Tamale Metropolitan Assembly has sworn into office the newly elected Assembly members and government appointees of the Assembly yesterday Monday, 12th February, 2024. The Metropolitan Assembly is made up of two constituencies, Tamale Central and the Tamale south constituency with a total number of forty one (41) elected assembly members. Addressing the gathering during the inauguration, the Metropolitan Chief Executive officer and the NPP parliamentary candidate for the Tamale Central constituency, Hon. Salifu Sule urged the assembly members to always engage with members of their electoral areas. This he believed, would deepen local participation and improve the work plan of the Assembly. Hon. Sule assured them that his office is always open for any engagement, especially ideas that will bring development to the Metropolitan. The house used the opportunity to elect Mr. Okasha Feseni as the presiding member of the Assembly.
